We don't adopt pets; they adopt us. Sometimes, they come to bring us something that was missing in our lives; other times, they come because they know we can connect them to others who truly need them
I don't remember the exact quote, but I caught a video of Tucker Carlson and he was talking about how the best art that people create is a reflection of what God has created - the ultimate artist. He went on to say how could you not see the beauty of the art in the smile on a dog's face?
What a wonderful description of how God uses those He ‘gifts’ for the His purpose! I lost my Mom (Covid isolation) 2-1/2 years ago and we took her ‘comfort kitty’ home with us. Like you, our two cats weren’t as welcoming as we had wished. The three never got close, but they tolerated her (a sweet Manx). She would get on our laps and look intently at us and I told my husband to be patient as Mom’s looking through her eyes to make sure we were OK. We had to put her to sleep a couple of weeks ago and after all this time, it was so hard... but it was kind for her. I imagine her happily snuggling on Mom’s lap relaying through her eyes how much they both were loved while here. I don’t know, of course, but God didn’t create the animal kingdom so we could evolve from them. The animal world never kills for spite like humans.
Thank you for this story of God’s love and purpose! God bless you.🙏❤️🙏
Thank you so much for sharing your story. It was lovely to hear how this all played out and Shadow is now helping your physicist friend and vice versa. Dogs are so special (we've had three shelter/rescue dogs) and they give so much love unconditionally.
Great story and a good looking dog. Dogs are really special "people". I am happy you found the right home for him. Loved the pix of him laying on the table on top of you work. "Enough of paying attention to that paper. I will lay on top of it so you will pay attention to me!"
Luv'd your story about how you were probably led by God to find a stray dog because that dog was needed by your friend. Looking forward to your upcoming covid story.
I almost used up a whole box of kleenex. What a heartwarming story about Shadow. I can see two more stories: one on Videl and one on Jake. Looking forward to those.
Me too! Yes, he really has an amazing gift of writing and expresses himself from a heartfelt place. He inherited some of that from his parents, both extremely talented writers and storytellers. It’s even more amazing when that story is true.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, what a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing.
This is beautiful! You are an angel. Thank you for your kind heart and a great story.

Beautiful and heartwarming story
Another wonderful story Eric. When we see His divine providence working in our lives it's a comfort.
