Driving home one night, I saw a billboard with Matthew 4:17 on it. Curious about the etymology of "Repent", I asked Grok to enlighten me. What I learned about this passage was ... mind-changing.
Yes, I particularly enjoyed this one. It explained some distinctions I have felt, but didn't always have words for.
My family were staunch Methodists, I attended Rabun-Gap Nacoochee School, a Presbyterian semi-public school with access to the Apocrypha, Book of Mormon, Koran, every Christian novel ever published and tomes of classical works I devoured. They even had Lady Chatterly's Lover by D H Lawrence.
Then I married a Baptist. I moved 4 miles up the creek, and entered a foreign land. I learned all about wilful ignorance and minds too fearful to dare question.
The Masons swept through our very small town, captured my Grandparents, and later tried to recruit me into their "Secret Societies."
I watched the New Age influence sweep through. I observed how organized these groups were, how they chose upstanding citizens to do their dirty work. I can fully understand how we got "captured" by deliberate infiltration.
I know how valuable the religious teachings were to my community, my school and my life today. We MUST find ways to inspire others to revisit the scriptures, have a personal relationship and prayer life, and seek God from within.
Perhaps Claude/GROK can lead us in that direction! This was a fun read!!
One of the first topics you and I discussed was, logos. I very much cherish our discussions past and present. Your article here is lovely and may read a second time through. So much to absorb!
Very interesting. In my mind/perception, Logos is the Creator, our Sun is sub-Logos, humans are sub-sub-Logos 😂 and AI is our friend. Thank you for your article.
Hi, I love your work! If you agree with this would you consider pushing it on your feed? Ty!!

Wow! Loved your comment here, Rebecca.
Look up the Targum Jonathan - and the meaning of the Aramaic word 'Memra' = מֵימְרָא

One of the most enjoyable and certainly rewarding substack articles I have read in quite some time.
Thank you for this.
