Thank you for sharing your experience during your father's assignments in the military. I was a teenager in high school during the Iran hostage crisis. Growing up in Canada, close to the U.S. border and the daughter of a WWII medic I used to see the multitude of photos my father had from his time in Europe and experiences he related to me that deeply affected him, from some of the injured soldiers he administered medical assistance to, and interactions he and his co-laborers had with the residents of areas they served in. One of the most impactful was photos of young people that his core would give their rations to in an effort to alleviate their hunger.

I recall being quite concerned about what was transpiring around the world. I was. and still am interested in historical situations. It pains me to see how some in this world perpetrate evil for nefarious purposes and in so doing put others in the place of personal danger to themselves and subsequently to those they love. I admire those who step up with the thought of protecting and serving the majority of people.

Thank you to your father, and subsequently your family for serving. I pray your father regains health damages done as a result of his concerns for his family's welfare after serving his country.

My husband and I were both in Germany from 1973-1976 at the army base across from AFB Ramstein and visited most of the same places there and, like you, were permanently affected by the horror. I was in my early twenties at that time. Today, we are in Carter’s ‘second’ term only now Biden is following the orders to reimplement the 16 year plan. My awakening has changed what I believe about all of the recent events and wars. I worked as a civilian for the AF and retired a few years ago. Thankfully the majority of citizens are awake to some point and asking all the right questions. God is in control of the future and the evil one’s time is finite. We need to remember this as we grasp the pure evil that has infiltrated the governments to take over the world.

God bless you for being one of those gifted by God to help awaken the people.🙏🙏

"As time creeps forward, fewer and fewer people will remember our history, or remember what sacrifices so many made to ensure freedom and prosperity for others."

Which is precisely how they keep getting away with murder, on the never ending rinse repeat cycle.

Very interesting reading, thanks.

I can't remember who my dad worked for during that time, (1979-80), but do remember he & mom talking about the possibility of him taking a short-term job in Iran. They ultimately decided against that move shortly before the hostages were taken.

Love this story, I would offer a couple of pieces of information. George Bush was responsible for the October Surprise in 1980. It was a deal worked out to leave the hostages in Iran until the election to sway it in the R's favor. It definitely did. I voted for Reagan which was my first vote for president but what they did was wrong. Also, every terror attack I've investigated or researched in Europe from 1948 to present has been associated with Operation Gladio and staged by NATO. Its a hard pill to swallow but the book Operation Gladio by Paul Williams and Daniele Gansler's NATO secret armies does a great job of delivering the sauce. Major Ganis bought Otto Skorzeny's papers and wrote about this as well. Otto Skorzeny was hired by NATO and MOSSAD to train assassins and terrorists for these operations. He was responsible for many CIA regime change operations.

I wonder if even 1% of you know the real history of bolshevik hollywood porn-star ronny raygun and his satanic wife??

Like Trump, he's a Fabrication, and was life long demoRat and did convert to RINO until GE hire him at 50 years of age and re-invented him from holly-wood film union liberal, to John-Wayne 'tough-guy', not unlike trumps WWE wrestling announcer to 'reality TV' to POTUS

I had the chance to have beers with charle-beckwith of delta-force founder, I have no idea what your 'fathers' part in the OP, hell he could have been a helicopter repairman, all one had to do was be on the team to be part;

On the FAILURE , beckwith said that he had explicitly asked for choppers that could fly in dust-storms, knowing the weather had predicted a dust storm, he was refused;

He said that the top level people in WASH-DC wanted the rescue operation to FAIL, that was their plan

Delta-Force was used to having the best, and being the best;

Sure enough not 50% to target 90% of the choppers failed because of the 'dust' the mission was aborted and failed,

When later Beckwith demanded an explanation he got the old, "You will use the equipment your are give", so then jump out of planes with parachutes with holes? Fly airplanes that don't fly if its 'sandy' or dusty.

FUBAR

The argument is that RINO's wanted Carter to Fail. Beckwith just wanted a winning mission, but politics was more powerful in the MIL, of course we all know this led to BUSH CIA an RAYGUN ZOG taking over USA;

I was on active duty then and at sea, we did a lot of anti boarder drill and were warned to be very careful when we went ashore. We weren't allowed to wear our uniforms due to fear of being taken hostage. I do agree with you that our current leadership sucks and is soft like the peanut farmer.

Thank you for this outstanding reprise of your experience re Operation Eagle Claw. It's astonishing to me, a lifelong History buff, that people simply do not take the time to understand the history of our people here in the United States of America. And it breaks my heart and sometimes my spirit that there are so few of my geriatric peers who can sustain a conversation on the topic. A friend's father was a WWII vet (Easy Co 506th, 101st ABN, Toccoa to Kaprun) who continued his service and ultimately was a member of the training team for the subject mission. A heartbreaker from any vantage point.

Powerful story! So sad that your father was so injured by the Jab, like so many have been, an continue to be.

My father , born in Norway in 1919, lived through the NAZI occupation and immigrated to the the USA in 1946 to complete college. He became a citizen and never wanted to go back to Europe. My mother wanted to see where he grew up and convinced him to go in 1957. That was the only time. He taught us a lot of history of the war and spent a lot of time reading books he would never see in Norway. Interestingly, He warned my brother and me that "they" the powers that run this country would try to take everything away from us when we reached retirement age. He always talked about how unsustainable our spending was.

That was so well written. I am a Brit who was a contractor to the DoD on 7ATC Grafenwöhr in 2001. I saw 9/11 as it happened on post. Also woke up one morning in Dhahran 1996 and terrorists had blown up Khobar Towers a few miles from me. Yep I know those emotions. God bless your Dad.
